I’m about to get my citizenship but I have to go to Mexico to fix my status but I know we have to take a physical exam. What health problem can keep me from getting my citizenship?

Any communicable disease (HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis, etc), and any chronic health condition which might be a risk for becoming a “public charge” — i.e. you cannot have chronic hepatitis, chagas, cancer, any degenerative disease, anything which could render you unable to work or unable to provide for your own medical care so that you might have to rely on US taxpayer-funded benefits.
