That’s a pretty broad question. Do you want to know from 1820 forward? Which reservations? All of them? How and why WHAT were created? The reservations? Or the health issues?

Maybe you could narrow down your question a little?

as tory said that is a very broad question, but lets try to address some of it. by the time the Indian had been sentenced to life on the reservation. there had been a attitude formed by the white man that they were savages, uncivilized scum,so the white men Left them to rot on specks of land that could not supply enough food for the way of life they were accustomed to, sure the us.govt promised to feed them, but what the native Americans got were excuses and broken promises. the medicine man had no cures for the diseases the white man brought with them, as no learning institutions would accept natives as students.all they could do was rot. in some cases supplies were given to the tribes infected with disease KNOWINGLY, I have been told by someone quite learned about the native Americans that most died not from white mans disease but from abscess teeth because of their long held ways of using stones to grind up their grains for bread, the result being worn down teeth leading to decay and finally abscess, since there were no antibiotics this is how a great many perished, lack of proper medical attention
