'an illness for one can lead to a disaster for all'- Maybe in the Middle Ages, when people didn't have vaccines, and they were living with rats. But that doesn't happen anymore.

Everyone should be responsible for themselves. Why should anyone be obligated to pay for someone else? They worked hard, yet you want to take their money away.

It's sad that people don't have health care. But I didn't do it to them. They did this to themselves. It's their fault. They should have stayed in school and gotten a good job. Any idiot knows that. But they decided not to. That's their own fault. Let them learn their lesson. Don't punish innocent people by stealing their money to fund their mistakes.

These people might be a little more motivated if they didn't have free health care of welfare. Maybe if they weren't going to get taken care of through tax dollars, they'd know to make better choices. But when people can just do whatever they want, and then just get checks in the mail, why should they even bother? People on welfare or those who receive free health care don't have to work. They know that their check will come. Why would they get up early to work 8 hours a day, to make less than what they're making now?

Everyone should have good health care. In the world's health care system 191 countries were ranked on things like the number of years people lived in good health and whether everyone had access to good health care. France came in first. The United States ranked 37th.

There is something called the amenable mortality. Basically, it's a measure of deaths that could have been prevented with good health care. The researchers looked at health care in 19 industrialized nations. Again, France came in first. The United States was LAST.

It's disgraceful.

France, like the United States, relies on both private insurance and government insurance. Also, just like in America, people generally get their insurance through their employer.

In France, everyone has health care, and there are no waiting lists to get elective surgery or see a specialist. The French hold individual liberty and social equality very dear ... 'liberty, equality, and fraternity' equal chances for everyone.

Still - it's going to cost a bunch no matter which way we go. I personally feel the insurance companies can start by lowering their premiums, instead of lining their coffers. It's the responsible thing to do.

The path to health care is the same for all races. If that were not true then no people of color would have it.

If some people refuse to do what it takes to get health care why should the American Political Arena do it for them?

As a provider, tomorrow I will try to treat all ethnic patients different for me alike.
