Information has been vague for the younger people aged around 20. Most has been focused on the late middle age and above.
I’m a female, aged 20 now. Have never had regular checkups other than a rough health screening when applying for college a year ago.

well in this country health care is something that is carried over from birth i think.i have been going to doctors and denists my whole life so i think that you do it as a follow-up from birth.you should know if and when to seek medical advice and regular check ups at the denist.

The first appointment should be to your regular doctor for a physical. Then, you should make an appointment with a gyno, for a girl, and an internist for a boy. It is where you will learn the best ways to protect yourself against STDs. The reg. Dr can order all blood tests, check your BP and heart rate…all to give you a general idea as to what is normal for you, so, when you do get older there will be a starting place. After that, you should be able to get away with seeing your doctor for only regular annual check ups, or, if you get ill. It is always good to have a personal physician, in case, heaven forbid, you get seriously ill, you will know who to call, and who you will be dealing with in hospital.
Now is a good time for you to make these appointments. With the advancements we are making in medicine, ,most illnesses if caught early can be treated.

Vague question! Depends - are you male or female for a start? Different sexes should be screened for different things at different ages! Unless you take a full medical screening every year that is.

Any age is the right age for taking care of yourself, but i believe anywhere above age 30 is a good time to make up for the body beating we give ourselves in our younger days.
