What will happen politically if health care reform is not passed?

Democrats own the government. The people want health care reform! Will people vote Republicans back into office? Will Democrats maintain power? Or will a third become prominent? Will people become more politically active?

No…The republican party will be exposed for the obstructionists they are, and will lose more support than they already have…I can’t WAIT for 2010.

Nothing will happen. Republicans will gain a majority in congress, and they will vote against any health care reform. Just like what happened last time health care reform came up.

I thought Hillary and Bill sailed through similar troubled water, didn’t they?

i hope something comes out of this. the price of care escalates all the time. there has to be a way to cap this, or we all will suffer(pay)!

there really isnt that much of a difference between republicans and democrats. bill clinton was in for 8yrs and he was a democrat, and you saw private healthcare. jimmy carter was also a democrat, and there was private healthcare. people will be divided about 50/50 democrat and republican. you wont see that much of a difference. however, i can tell you that in general, there is a shift to the right wing around the world.

Republicans will not get back into power for a while. They had a chance and they have been tossed out.

We will get health care reform. It won’t happen all at once, but keep in mind that Republicans tried to kill the stimulus and cash for clunkers. They threw a hissy fit over the budget, and that got passed too.

Unless there is a major problem, the Republicans will be lucky to hold on to what they have. They have no leaders except radio pundits, and everytime they show their extremist stance, they become less popular.

The right wingers yell at each other and convince themselves that they are powerful or still in the majority, but they aren’t.

Are you watching the same news I’m watching? There are several Americans that don’t want within a thousand miles of it!

When the stimulus plan starts kicking in next year, and the economy start recovering, Obama’s approval will sky rocket and another push for health care will be made, and the Republicans will have a hard time opposing it then.
