What is the difference between rationing education and rationing health care?

Posted by Dolores
Melissa Baker asked:

In our city due to shortage of funds and unions we had to increase class size from 20 students to 25 students. Every student now receives education of worse quality, but note that ALL kids receive equally worse education.

What will we have to do when we face the shortage of health care ?

Oh, please. Healthcare is already rationed. The minute you get seriously sick, your fancy private insurance will kick you to the curb.

Hey Emily, two wrongs don’t make a right. Private insurance is crap right now, mostly due to government involvement. But having the government run health care would be twice as bad.

We need a consumer revolution. We need the same quality in health care we get in dvds, cars, and computers. All these things are driven by the free market and they have all gotten more affordable and better in quality. Treat health care like all these things and it will be of cheaper and better quality too.

We already face a rationing of health care, it’s just we use a harsher method of rationing than any other country. Using price to determine who lives and who dies nothing less than sadistic. Dropping someone’s insurance when they need it most is nothing less than evil.

    America rations health care
    WAKE UP.

There will never be a shortage of health care in America. We have too many hospitals, clinics and doctors as it is. Just open your phone book to the yellow pages and look under physicians.

Oh yeah, when I was in public school we had 30 kids to a class and we made it.
I don’t understand that because 5 more kids are placed in a classroom that would decrease the quality of the teacher and her lesson plan.
If the addition of 5 pupils to a class some how overwhelms that child’s ability to learn then they need to be placed in special needs classes.

It’s time to take responsibility and find out where all the money go. You can’t afford war in Iraq, you can’t afford war in Afghanistan and you can’t afford many other things any more. America is deeply in debt. All the income tax today is absorbed by interest on your national debt. Wake up people.

Federal Health Bill Calls For Billions in Orwellian Psych Programs and Treatments
Information: As the entire country is aware, there is currently an effort in Congress to pass a massive “Health Care Reform” bill. In fact, Congressional leadership is doing everything in its power to pass this $1 trillion plus bill.
There are two versions of the bill — one in the House (H.R. 3200) and one in the Senate (there is no number for the Senate bill at this point, but it is titled the Affordable Health Choices Act).
Both bills forward massive increases in government funding of mental health programs that turn America into a full blown therapeutic state…
