What is this new health care reform and what will it do to employees of insurance companies?

The only reason I am asking this is because the government section is full of extremists and didn’t give any decent anwers, so maybe somebody here knows…
I never watch the news, so I have no idea what it is, but I was talking to my mom who works for unicare and she makes over $70K a yr. and she is very worried about obama’s health care initiative. What is it, and how will it affect her job?

    obama is an idiot, and his promises for this universal health care is complete BS

    in my country we have universal health care [canada] and its run by provincial governments [province=state] so here in Ontario, its called OHIP [ontario healthy insurance plan]

    if for SOME miracle it works, most likely the the employees of insurance companies will be set to work for the state government in the insurance department. doing the same job just different work place, bosses etc.

    but dont worry, it will NOT happen. obama doesnt know the first thing about politics
