  2. theguju2026 Says:

I have a BMI of 26, and i have 9% body fat, don’t believe everything you hear

  3. angelstrangeeyes Says:

the only way is to use several different tests, then use all the results to find out if your weight is ok or not

  4. CelestialInsanity Says:

What would be a more accurate way to find this out then?

  5. angelstrangeeyes Says:

no you are right. the limitation of this is that it does not take into account muscle mass or your body type. this is the reason it sholdnt be used as the only way of deciding if someone is over weight or obese.

  6. g4m3r43v3r Says:

right question. im sure the WWF stars would rate as Obese, going by their BMI..

  7. CelestialInsanity Says:

What about muscle mass? Since this will effect your B M I, wouldn’t it be inaccurate to say that you’re overweight or obese, or am I getting this wrong?

  8. anonymousburn Says:

glad im not a fat ****!

  9. comosera Says:

    U are 200*703=140600 (x)

    1 inch is 2.54 cm
    1 foot is 30.48 cm

    30.48 / 2.54= 12 inches

    6′= 12*6 = 72 then 72+2.54 (1 inch)
    =74.54 inches so 6′1= 74.54 inches.

    Ur height squared 74.54*74.54= 5556.2116 (y)
    Then x/y= 140600/5556.2116
    =25.30 your BMI :)
working with the metric system is much easier, wonder why the usa is the only country not using it, their military does. Anyway hope it helped u.

  12. BigGreg187 Says:

They do take mass into consideration thats why its called Body Mass Index. They actually don’t take body type into consideration not mass.

  13. xsecretfiles Says:

    mine is 18???

  14. iNsDaeco Says:

BMI doesn’t mean anything. It was created by a statistician trying to correlate height to weight and in no way did he ever intend for this system to be used as a barometer for health. I have a BMI of 30 with 10% body fat, so I’m not obese. BMI is filled with flaws

  15. cxtranger Says:

that rule doesn’t apply to people who are healthy and mostly muscular.
