Are police officer pensions and benefits great after 25 years of service? In general, in today’s dollars and excluding future inflation, could I expect to get at least $2,500 per month after retirement in net pay plus great health and other benefits? She works full time but her employer charges an outrageous amount of money for health insurance. I know there are many many young people who don’t have health insurance, mostly because of the cost of high insurance premiums. But my daughter really needs it cause she has some health issues that will stay with her for a lifetime.

I like the quality of care that i receive now but the price of medical care is sickening unaffordable to pretty much everyone. How would this effect health care? If you get to pick your own doctor how would this effect your treatment? How can our country realistically afford to pay for health care? Are taxes going to go up to pay for this which in the end is that even saving americans money?

I was denied new health insurance coverage in May 2007 because of lower back pain in January 2007 for which I received physical therapy. I have had continuous health insurance coverage for more than 2 years with no history of back ailments. If I reapply again now (for coverage starting in September), am I likely to be denied again? Is there anything I can do about it? My group coverage through work is very costly, and I’d prefer to have a more affordable plan.
