Digestive Enzymes, Nutrition and Your Health

Information about Digestive Enzymes

Digestive Enzymes are enzymes that specifically work in the digestive system to facilitate the digestion, absorption, and transportation of nutrients. They also work to promote timely elimination of digestive waste products that are not of use to the body. Without enzymes, our cells would not get adequate nutrition and we would not survive.

Enzymes function as catalysts to enhance and dramatically speed up biochemical reactions that occur in every one of our cells. They are only activated in water, so staying hydrated is very important for enzymes to work effectively. Enzymes must be present to ensure proper digestion of nutrients, energy production, metabolism, transportation of fluid to cells, and elimination of toxins among many other functions.

Enzymes exist in foods to help our body’s breakdown what we eat. Raw, uncooked foods are the only foods that contain enzymes. Since the majority of our diets are cooked foods, we significantly limit the enzymes available in our food for digestion, thus putting more stress on our digestive systems. Some supplemental enzymes should be taken with food to enhance digestion and absorption of nutrients, whereas other supplemental enzymes should be taken on an empty stomach to support circulation, decrease inflammation, support our immune systems and combat stress. Imbalances in these factors have been scientifically proven to be associated with or the cause of numerous diseases.

Men Secret Health Issues - Part V

Sunday, September 7th, 2008
Dr.Anna Hardy asked:

Owing to the rush for ***** enlargement techniques today, several surgical and non-surgical methods have been devised. These methods could be substantiated or not by medical science, but one fact stands – all of them have become successes in their own right. This is because most of the average men are dissatisfied with their penises as nature has endowed them with. This feeling is compounded by the penises of other men (read **** models) they see. Without giving it a thought, men establish it firmly in their minds that their penises are nothing but tiny little weenies.

This explains the spate of ***** enlargement methods prevailing today. Let us go with the grind, then. This article will try to – very objectively – describe the popular ***** enlargement methods that are being used by men over the world today.

Surgical methods are the most important (and expensive) methods of ***** enlargements. Surgery can do two things with the *****. First, silicone implants can be introduced within the penis, which could be inflated and deflated by pushing at a pump in the groin area. Hence, this becomes a kind of make-erect-at-will kind of transplant. It is needless to say how cumbersome this could be; and not to mention, distressing in front of the female *** partner. However for men who are impotent, this method could be a boon.

The second method is more preferable. In this, the surgeon very deftly cuts some of the ligaments that keep the ***** hung. When these ligaments are torn, they will fall and make the ***** appear better hung.

In both the methods mentioned above, the main fear is of the technique itself. If the implant or the surgery is done by an inexperienced surgeon, then it could lead to permanent damage to the *****. This could cause an irreversible kind of situation, which could be a tragedy.

That explains why men are opting for non-surgical techniques today. Let us examine some of the non-surgical methods for ***** enlargement that are in vogue.

The most popular ones are the herbal supplements. They are used in almost the same way as the supplements available for ****** enlargement in women. Just pop a pill in the prescribed dosage per day and you will get your ***** increased by centimeters! Naturally, there is wide-spread apprehension whether such easy techniques work, or whether they are just a way to earn a quick buck. The herbs used in the supplements are good enough; they have been used for centuries to achieve the same purpose. Some of these herbs are indeed famous all over the world, like the ginseng, ginkgo, blessed thistle, dong quai, kava kava, maca, etc., but how much effective they are, is yet to be known. Also some of these herbs could have unwarranted side effects, including common cold, sneezing and rashes over the skin. Hence, users need to get themselves examined by their physicians before they can go in for ***** enlargement through herbal supplements.

One more serious contention is that herbal supplements bring about penile increase by tampering with the hormonal balance of the body. Anything that tries to interfere with the balance of hormones is not good for the body. Hence, the medical fraternity is dead against the use of these herbal supplements.

Mechanical devices are also available for ***** enlargement. The ***** enlargement pumps are quite popular. They work in much the same manner – by creating pressure – as the ****** enlargement pumps devised for women. The basic difference is in the shape. The ***** enlargement pumps are cylindrical, to fit over the shape of the *****.

Again there are problems in the use of these ***** enlargement pumps. Sometimes the pressure built up could be too high, which could lead to bleeding within the *****. Just imagine, how scary that would look! Some of the pumps have hard rims, which could cut within the flesh around the scrotum, or the base of the ***** where the pump is meant to fit. The pump could tear in the ligaments and cause some serious damage.

Penis massages are perhaps the safest ways to bring about a size increase in the penis; provided they are done in a safe way. Jelquing and squeezing are the two popular types of massages. These are explained widely all over the internet. All one has to do is to grasp the ***** at the base and then move the hand towards the head of the penis, all the time applying pressure with the thumb. This will open up the tissues of the corpus cavernosa and make them more available for getting filled with blood during ********. However massages done in excess are also known to cause damage to the penis, and to increase ***** curves.

The best method is to make you ***** look bigger than it actually is. You can try by trimming out the hair in the pubic area. The hair hides some of your *****. So when it is trimmed, your ***** will automatically look bigger. You can also wear underwear that bulge at the crotch. This will make your ***** look bigger when you wear your trousers or jeans, by creating ‘a visual impact’.

Finally, remember that women prefer a clean ***** to a big but dirty *****. So ***** hygiene is the most important thing. Keep your ***** clean by washing the area thoroughly during the bath, and using a mild soap in the area.

Yorkie Health Issues

Saturday, September 6th, 2008
roosterbob asked:

Yorkies can be great pets, but just like all other dog breeds, they have their fair share of health issues. This article will you understand the common health issues associated with Yorkie dogs.

* Hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar, most commonly happens when Yorkies have too much time between meals. However, it can also be caused by stress, depression, fatigue, malnutrition, infections, bacteria, and even parasites. It is important to look for the signs of Hypoglycemia if you are a Yorkie owner. Some of the signs are drowsiness, red-eyed, and disorientation. If you see any of these signs you should take your Yorkie to the Veterinarian to be treated immediately. Hypoglycemia can cause brain damage, seizures, comas, and in some cases death.

* Being small can unfortunately cause problems with Yorkies. Small children running through the house may step on one, or just an object may fall over on them, and it doesn’t take much weight to deal serious injury to a small Yorkie. Their bodies are so small that everything affects them more, even toxins, such as anti-freeze, pesticides, cleaning chemicals, and other household chemicals. Keeping a close eye on your Yorkie at all times is the best way to prevent them from getting into harmful toxins, or being injured.

* Tracheal collapse is a medical aliment occurring over time, which caused by the weakening of the walls of the trachea. Tracheal collapse is a common health problem in all small dog breeds. Tracheal Collapse can cause a Yorkie to whelp and cough. If you see these signs, you should take them to the Veterinarian. Sometimes, surgery can repair the trachea.

* Bladder stones are common in Yorkies. They form in the urinary tract, and can cause the inability to urinate, and even death. Some signs of bladder stones in Yorkies are blood in their urine, and less frequent *********. A simple x-ray can determine if their is a bladder stone there.

* Sensitive skin is another common issue among Yorkies. Many have allergies and will bite or scratch their skin, which leads to damaging their skin. A Veterinarian can suggest a type of lotion depending on you’re Yorkies condition.

* Delicate digestive systems can cause Yorkies to have diarrhea and vomiting from diet changes or not eating the correct meals.

Healthy Yorkies can live up to 15 years, that’s why it’s important to take care of our Yorkies. Be sure you’re Yorkie has a proper diet and taken to the Veterinarian regularly. Hope this helps!

Physicians Believe Obesity is America’s Most Severe Health Issue

Friday, September 5th, 2008
1Democracy asked:

Epocrates, Inc. today announced the results of the “2007 Obesity Report,” a nationwide survey of physicians on public health issues and the increasing rate of obesity in America. The results exposed that physicians — often the “front line” of health — consider obesity to be the single largest public health crisis in the United States, and that there are varying opinions as to who is primarily responsible and what can be done to address the issue.

Although Americans have always tried to win the “battle of the bulge,” the obesity problem has recently become one of our country’s most talked-about health issues. Today, 52 percent of physicians believe that more than half of their patients are overweight. According to nearly 90 percent of physicians, this percentage has increased in the past five years despite greater attention on the issue. Physicians are striving to make a difference, however more than 40 percent of the respondents stated that they are not addressing the subject with all of their patients.
